Harobal's 47 granite routes use commercial dimension-stone names. Commercial granite can include decorative crystalline rocks beyond strict geological granite, so identity, source, finish, lot range and test evidence must be approved separately.

Identity control

Commercial granite and geological granite are related—but not interchangeable.

The commercial category is useful for procurement. Geological classification explains mineralogy, texture, fabric, alteration and use-relevant behaviour. A source-linked petrographic report resolves that distinction where the project needs it.

Name

Keep the commercial name and aliases for discovery. It is not a measurable colour grade, geological class or quarry certificate.

Confirm shade shift, scratch visibility, sealer behaviour and wet slip for floors.

Leather

Textured low-sheen surface emphasizing mineral relief.

Approve cleanability, food-contact/sealer system, tactile range and edge matching on the exact material.

Flamed

Thermal texture typically lightens and roughens the surface.

Confirm the stone responds safely and uniformly; define thickness, edge allowance, slip and freeze–thaw requirements.

Bush Hammered

Mechanically textured, non-reflective surface.

Confirm thickness loss, edge setbacks, texture depth, cleanability and use-specific slip/abrasion.

Application control

Suitability is conditional on the whole assembly.

Material, finish, dimensions, support/fixing, exposure, loads, maintenance and destination requirements determine suitability.
